Generations after Uzumaki Naruto, ninja still work hard in their village. Fire, Wind, Earth, Water, Lightning, Sound, and Star. The villages of power. But there are dark forces working, forces known as the Kagai. The Kagai are the new generation of Akatsuki, but they seem stronger (if you wanna be a member of the Kagai, you gotta apply).

Long ago, the land was in chaos, innocent people were dieing, villages falling, and even the land itself seemed shrouded in darkness. It was during the time of the First Hokage, when it was decided the land must be saved from a war that had caused the land itself to die. Seven ninja were chosen, each willing to die for their village. Together, these ninja forged seven stones of great power. The power of the stones was never told, only witnessed by those around, but by using the stones, these seven ninja stopped the wars, death, and all the hell that broke loose. The were named the ultimate power, unstoppable by any mortal force.

It was granted that the stones together could bring the land into darkness as it once had, so it was decided the stones would be seperated, so they would never be reunited, so the land would forever remain in peace. Each village was given a stone, and a few of the coutries were also awarded a stone. This was the wish of the great leaders, willing to do anything to keep their village safe. It was in future generations of ninja, that the stone would be given to someone else, the new leader, or Kage of that area. Handed down to only the most trusted ninja who would willingly give their life to ensure the stone would never be stolen. With this, the land was at peace, and eventually, as the land changed, the stones moved.

Eventually, after the time of Uzumaki Naruto, the Sound and Star village came into greater power, becoming major villages. Somehow, the new great villages aquired the stones.

Stones:
Konohagakure: Ruby
Sunagakure: Quartz
Kirigakure: Sapphire
Kumogakure: Citrine
Iwagakure:Tourmaline
Otogakure: Tnaznaite
Hoshigakure: Emerald

The Kagai are after these mighty stones, to bring them together, and throw the world into darkness. They plan to control the world, and everything in it. But, could it be that their lust for power and their arrogance, is their weakness?
Ninja of their villages must do all they can to stop the Kagai and their devilish plans, to ensure the world they live in stays bright. Will you fight to protect the stones, or try and steal them (or both, you can be a part of every village if you want)? Join the adventure, join the fight.

This is the fight for life, where you fight is up to you. Loyal, or untrust worthy, you control your own fate, your own destiny. In the end, you control the fate of the world, the ninja world. Prove what kind of ninja you are, where will you fight. For the darkness or light? Show us where you belong.

Only at, Shinobi: Living Legends. Are Naruto based role play.

Flaired's mouth tipped up in a smirk. So she'd chosen to stick with their side, for the time being anyway. But it wasn't like the Draculans would accept her, would they? Of course, he could be wrong...But didn't they hate the 'inferior race' more then anything? And it wasn't like one could simply become a vampire, not without pain. His insides curled. And who would choose to live off the lives of others? He certainly wouldn't, but maybe everyone didn't think the same way he did. Not that he was saying Hydra would disagree with his ideals. Noting that she'd started to follow him, he flounced onward.

That was only for a moment of course, since her words interrupted him. "Who's...Who?" And then he seemed to come to his senses, the latter word in his inquiry lagging slowly behind. Stunned that they'd been snuck up upon so easily, and worried that their 'visitor' was a Draculan, Flair spun around so fast anyone in his vicinity would have been smacked roughly with his tail. Ahead of him now, since they'd both about-faced, Hydra was staring at a figure coming toward them. For the moment, Flair was unable to catch the scent. So he had to rely on his eyes. Feeling rising dread, arrogant tramp caught no signs of the misshapen shape on the being’s sides that would be wings. So it was either a newcomer, or a Draculan.

As he’d told himself before, newcomers were scarce. What were the chances of two in one day? Little to none. It was a Draculan. And as the wind changed directions, the slight breeze wheeling to caress his face, the answers to his questions were proved. He was right. “That,” Flaired returned, smirking coolly in the direction of the newest arrival, “Is a Draculan.” He ambled back to the female’s side, looking half bemused, half annoyed. Was he trying to be brave, wondering in alone on the Xanersis lands? Going through with a dare? Sure, there were only two now, but other Xanersis could easily come along. Bristling, but not quite ready to show any sign of attacking, he stood in stony silence.

Damn, everyone had their problems nowadays! Hydra was not surprised some sort of struggle had festered in the heart of the Draculan lands. For a brief moment the Draculan territory did not seem as appealing to Hydra; Hydra wanted to stay in a place that would best guarantee her survival. Well, Flaired seemed nice enough, and judging from his character Xanersis terrain must not have been that bad. So what would it come down to? The pack in risk of famine or the pack in risk of falling prey? It was a tough decision and for now, she shoved the query to the back of her mind. The young, gray wolf was certain she was over-analyzing the situation. In the end, everything would fall into place…at least that’s what she had assumed. ”Nevermind.” Came Hydra’s flippant reply. She remained silent for some time until Flair had offered to take her to the others. Hydra nodded and was taken slightly aback by the pack’s apparent leniency towards strangers.

”Yea, take me there.” She said quickly, and slapped on a hasty ‘please’ at the end of her “request.” She tried to look apologetic for her impoliteness, but her attempt was futile. Her bright green eyes were burning with curiosity and malice. She turned to follow after Flair, but before she did so Hydra chanced a glimpse towards the Draculan horizon.

Her eyes were not so horrible where she could not make out the advancing silhouette of a wolf. Hydra turned around and followed the male’s figure with her stormy green eyes. Her ears were slanted slightly forwards as she focused in on the approaching form. Her head was lifted to some extent, not as an act of dominance, but in order to better catch the strange wolf’s scent. Hydra neither bristled nor relaxed, instead, she was more alert and on guard. All in all, Hydra looked rather ‘wolfish’ (surprise surprise). Without turning back to look at Flaired, Hydra spoke calmly, ”So who’s that?” The tall, slender female stood still as Barlain made his way towards herself and Flaired.

The terrain had changed and even now the scents were much different. Barlain stopped in his tracks and slowly opened his eyes that had been closed for a while. He looked around twisting his head to the side gently as if it would snap his neck with its weight. He seemed groggy and true he was, but not from a lack of sleep. Rather, Barlain was tired of fighting his hunger and a large part of him was happy now that he was not among the others. They did not know what he was and he wanted to keep it that way.

However safe his secret was away from them it now suddenly seemed to be threatened once more. His nose burned with the scent of the Xanersis markers and he knew that he had crossed the border. A low growl erupted from him as his neck fur rose in anticipation. If the Draculan Council wolves had not been far behind him it would do no good for him to give into his hunger for wolf flesh. Barlain couldn't be sure though that they were indeed behind him for he knew that he had drifted off for some time.

'Ahh, but what lack of fun that would be,' a small voice whispered to him. A wicked grin spread across his features as he dug his claws in the earth for a moment. His imagination ran wild with him and for a moment he felt almost as if the metallic taste of blood was filling his mouth. He shook this vision from his head and slowly padded forth maneuvering his massive form between the trees and grasses. The strong scent of the Xanersis wolves suddenly seemed too much, but it was not long before the figure of two loomed before him. "Well, well... what do we have here," he said softly to himself not sure that they could even hear.

Were Flaired a reader of minds, he would have tried to explain a little better. It was true, the Xanersis really did have a lot to worry about, but so did the Draculans. In truth, both were in danger of dying out, give or take a few issues. For the Draculan's, it was the risk of losing their prey. Their food source was dwindling, and soon they'd have to expand outward to find more food. For the Xanersis, their main issue was becoming the target of the Draculan's meals. There was no way they could breed fast enough to keep the race from dying out. But as it was, he had no such talent, and thus could not reassure her. It wouldn’t really matter anyway, not unless she was staying. His mouth tipped up slightly- as it was, she looked more freaked out by him and their breeds, and probably did not intend to stay. A pity, since living on the ‘wild side’ was exhilaration, if not a tad dangerous. Okay, maybe more then a tad.

“Wonder when you’ll get what?” Flaired asked curiously, having tuned in just in time to catch her words. It was unusual, the fact that he kept spacing out. It was unlike him- he was usually so attentive. But she was a newcomer, and they didn’t come along often. That alone gave him something to think about, and the fact that her words had added onto the heap of thoughts that whirled like and out-of-control cyclone in his head. His question was forgotten as he frowned at her. “Yes, chasing me.” Was that so unbelievable? “Hungry, no doubt. Starved. Their food sources are scarce nowadays, I would presume. Their hunger- their thirst- is voracious. I look like easy game.” His expression was amused.

Sighing, he shoved up from his place on the ground, peering around. He wasn’t comfortable here, never would be. It wasn’t that he was a coward; he just preferred to avoid fights if he could. It was both for the sake of his vanity, and his own safety. Flaired could claim to be good at speed, agility...but brute strength? Right. He had enough muscle to hold his own, but... Lord tossed his head, shoving away the thoughts. There was no sense worrying.

One brow winged up, and he slid off in the direction opposite the Draculan lands. “I’m not sure exactly. There are enough of us that you aren’t buddy-buddy with everyone.” He shrugged slightly. “If you want, I can take you there.” He wasn’t at all sure he was supposed to be doing that, but since Naomi wasn’t here, he figured he’d risk it. Anyway, the Alphess was too kind hearted to bully Flaired anyway, he assumed.

Barlain seemed deep in his own thoughts as his brow furrowed and he stared off into the distance with something of a glazed look in his eyes. It was a wonder that large brute hadn't tripped already for rocks and all sorts of other obstacles kept popping up in his path. He avoided these or jumped over them his paw tips just barely grazing one rock. This seemed to wake him for a moment and he turned his head to the side as he noticed Gimmick suddenly drop off.

Her form was dropping back quickly now and he noticed after a moment the pup at her feet. Then as he was just about to turn back he caught a glimpse of other wolves. A slight smirk creased his maw and he focused ahead again drifting off into his own hungry thoughts once more. He allowed his tongue to hang out slightly on the side as his jaws hung open a little. The cool taste of nature brushed against his tongue before it retreated into the warm confines of his mouth.

Hydra listened to Flaired and forbade herself to ask any more questions, at least for now. Flaired’s explanations helped her understand a bit of what was going on around the place, but because Hydra had not witnessed a Draculan nor their disparaging conduct first hand, Hydra was unable to grasp the true hopelessness of the pack’s circumstances. She watched Flaired closely as he demonstrated and explained “wolf flight.” ”I wonder when I’ll get ‘em.” Hydra was only thinking out loud. For a moment Hydra looked sleepy as the animated male began to recite the story about the Draculan female. Towards the conclusion of Flaired’s story, however, Hydra looked at him in mild disbelief. ”She was chasing after you huh?” Well…Hydra was always an avid believer in the saying, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Of course, she wouldn’t disclose such information to Flaired. He might think she was a traitor or something. Not that she wasn’t. Hydra really was a traitor; at least, she was a well-known traitor in one of her former packs. She shrugged and tried to look indifferent. Perhaps it would be wiser to join the Dracluan? After all, they seem to be more powerful. When it came down to it, Hydra would give up her morals in an instant if it ensured her survival. Hydra knew that many wolves would look down upon her for her decisions, but this never concerned her. The tall, young female was almost certain that Flaired would be the same way.

The young wolf pawed at the ground absentmindedly. ”Okay better question…how many are there of you?”’ Hydra craned her neck to look over at Flaired.

So what was she to do then? For now, Hydra would settle on residing on Xanersis grounds. She disregarded the gnawing anxiety in the back of her mind telling her that this could bring much trouble and grief into her life, should she stay. Hydra just needed a place to live! After she has “settled in” maybe then she would consider a move, if things started looking rough. Young Hydra was ignorant to the fact that joining Draculan ranks would probably be nigh impossible for her. She was still naïve and knew too little about the other pack, and underestimated them. Perhaps this was Hydra’s first mistake in her new home.

Flaired had lost interest in what she was saying. Indeed, he was quite busy dreaming about a place like where she’d come from, a place where the danger of a vampire’s bite didn’t loom over you at every moment. A place that was far more safe. And even the prospect of visiting a place where wolves didn’t have wings was far too interesting. He simply must leave this place to see such a sight. But then he remembered that to do so would mean leaving his friends, so he supposed he’d only do such a stunt in his dreams, if his unimaginative mind could even conjure up such an earthly paradise. Still lost in such thoughts, it took the male a moment to register the female’s latest words, and when he did a shrug lifted his shoulder. “I suppose you could. It still doesn’t mean you can out run them. Of course it’s perfectly possible, but I assume they use the wind to disguise their scent, you know? They make sure they come at you when the wind is blowing in their direction.” He wasn’t privy to the details of how the vampires were able to so efficiently sneak up on the Xanersis and in truth he didn’t care. Whatever their methods, all he knew was that they were dangerous.

Flaired’s mouth tipped into a delighted grin. She seemed inordinately fascinated with this particular trait of his, and by no small measure did it stroke his ego. Even if she was more baffled then in fascination by the attribute put a damper on his limelight. In fact, he simply seemed to swell and bask in the attention, whatever the type. “Sure, its easy to spot. I’m no more worried about it then anything else though. No doubt some of the Draculan’s are bright as well.” He looked thoughtful, as if he was remembering something. “Though it was by she means as boisterous in color as mine, I once saw a female Draculan with a blood-red stripe. She chased me for ages. Were she a Xanersis, I wouldn’t have minded, but her intentions were to kill me rather then...” His words grew softer, and his look was amused. Then as if he were a light being flipped off, his demeanor changed from the smirk hinted with innuendo to a frown. “There are loads of them. I’ve never ventured to the place where they hang around, but there are probably more of them then there are us. To go against them might as well be suidicde.”

After a moment, he countenance particularly brightened, for he’d never been one to stay pessimistic for long. He halted his circling, looking bemused. “These?” He asked, lifting a wing as if he hadn’t known what she meant. But he’d known, and proved it when he shoved up into the air, beating the wings lazily for a moment, then descending. “Perfectly usable. We can’t stay up long though, we’re not birds with hollow bones. We’re to heavy to stay up in the air too long.” That was the downfall to their escape route. It was too risky to go to high, for the wings tired easily, so they were forced to fly low, low enough that the vampires could catch them without too much trouble once they landed again. Flying through the trees was slow business. He explained this to her, using his paws for emphasis every now and then, much a like a human would.

The arrogant guy frowned; disheartened by her unwillingness to disclose the area she’d come from. Maybe it was some sort of secret society where only the privileged could go. The very idea made that disappointment fly away, only to be replaced by an even heavier curiosity. But he wouldn’t force her to tell; he might find out eventually, should she learn to trust him. “Oh, alright. I’m from here, obviously.” He looked serious, all though his statement had been rather preposterous. Of course he was from here.

Gimmick, never one to like losing, gasped in surprise and anger when a whelp shot in front of her, forcing her to come to a jolting stop, nearly toppling over by the suddenness of it all. Her expression had turned dangerous, more over relief that she hadn't hurt herself or the whelp, though she supposed the tyke probably deserved it. Weren't these things taught any respect anymore? Not that she'd know, she'd never been a mother. And she didn't think they received much attention anyway, the whole of the pack was more concerned with their hunger then their spawn. Why, it was a wonder that the youngest generations hadn't died out already. It wouldn't be long, she supposed, until there was hardly any food left. With the ferocity of the vampires' hungers, they'd have to turn to hunting Xanersis more actively soon. That was both daunting and relieving. It'd be great to get Xanersis blood, but the effort it would take would be just too much. Even if they could hunt enough to provide for themselves, the vermin wolves wouldn’t be able to reproduce fast enough. Was the superior Draculan race going to die out?

The female presumed she was being to pessimistic. There was nothing to back up her worries, other then nearly constant hunger. Half-heartedly, she snapped at the whelp to ‘Watch where you’re going.’ She scowled, prepared to run again, when a pair of adults caught her eye. Though she wasn’t the frivolous sort, she had enough interest in socializing to invite the pair, although they weren’t with each other so to speak, to go hunting.”

”Aren’t you hungry?” Her mouth tipped. Lucifis wouldn’t mind, she didn’t think. He hadn’t been displeased by her eavesdropping, had even invited her to come along. Surely if he’d let nosey Gimmick in on the hunt, he’d let the unobtrusive along as well. So she figured she’d invite them. Tipping her mouth up in a semblance of a grin, for her thundering stomach was to thunderous to allow her to muster up the full extent of her smirk, she told them, “We’re going hunting, if you’d like to come along.” She’d had to raise her voice a little, since they were some distance away. But she wasn’t interested in them long enough to stay, both for the reason she didn’t particularly know them, and because she was obviously hungry. So she whirled once more, and sprinted off in the direction the rest of the Council had went, though she’d given up on catching up.

OOC; Hydra and I were wondering if you all would be willing to end up around Flaired and Hydra in this board for the hunt so we could have an encountering with the Draculans. Just...Don't kill us. xD

Name of your site: With Teeth Bared
General Description:

NOTE: There really is no good way to shorten this, so bear with us. It's long but a good story. Enjoy. ^^

It was dark, nightfall to be utterly truthful. The sun had just shone it's last few rays of hope upon the lands of the wolves moments before the last few birds dove into their nests. Alone in a small meadow lay a group of pups along with an elder wolf. The sat around, facing each other. A little shy wolf pup named Kiba with a brilliant white coat, yelled from the back, speaking to the elder, "Sss...sir, will you tell the story of how the three packs came to be?"

The group rose their voices into a single crying yes. The elder, overwhelmed by the pups eagerness to know their own histories, chuckled, his voice raspy with his age. Coughing and clearing his throat, he said, "Settle down now, settle down. Karo don't make me send you to your mother!" And with such words the little one immediately stopped biting and bullying the others and soon they all settled down into a little crowd of eyes and ears, wide open and waiting for their favorite story.

And so, with an attentive audience he began,

Long ago, there was peace among the three wolf packs. They were, at once, one large pack. Everyone knew each other and everyone got along. And yet... such peace and happiness could never truely last. Humans came into their lives, destroying whatever they could find. Destroying the trees, dens, grasses, and worst of all... the wolves' food.

He told them, with his voice ever quiet, forcing them into complete silence, of Hrimhari the Kind. Of how her fur was as white as the untainted morning snow. Of how her eyes of perfect blue glittered and shown with the brilliance of a thousand stars. He told them of her small body, of her dainty self. Told them how in her wake flowers bloomed no matter weather or time, how she glowed with such a radiance that she held a golden aura. He told them... of Hrimhari the Sweet and how she brought forth to the world kindness and love. How she filled it with goodness and peace and tranquility.

Next he spoke of The Tainted Fenrir. Of how she suffered and how she felt the pain of the world, the burdens. How she carried the strife that ran opposite of her sister... How she brought to the world desire and passion and seductive beauty as death marked her steps. Her eyes an unrelenting torrent of green, her body an unblemished black. Her body lean and well muscled, the body of one use to work.

After speaking of The Sister there was only one left to tell them. The soul brother of the duo, the master Nerah. He told them of his grey, grey fur. Of his gentle brown eyes that told of his woe and his worry. Told of how in his steps enlightenment fallowed as he brought order and wisdom among his people and his sisters, for his leadership was evident.

He told them how they looked about the earth and saw beauty destroyed. How they saw everything touched turned to ash and they could not help but wonder if all the world was like this. And so their search began… and so their search continued… and when asked why they walked for endless eternity, they spoke, ‘We search for the untouched Paradise‘. And yet the three went about their search differently...

Hrimhari believed that Paradise would show itself to those who where good. Those who did good things would have good things happened to them and so she went about the world helping the ill and the pained. Raising them from strife's grip she set them at fortune’s table. And while she went about her good deed Fenrir, habiting to do the opposite, believed that strength was absolute. That if one wished to gain entrance to Paradise one must be strong and one must be worthy. And so she ventured the world in search of strength. Cutting down whoever hindered her progress. Nerah, the man of three, however, practiced a different route in search. He beloved the Paradise would ultimately come no matter what... one must but looked to find and so he simply walked days on end, his eyes open and his ears ever ready to hear the calls of Paradise.

And so Hrimhari walked the High Path in search of Paradise.
And so Fenrir walked the Low Way in search of Paradise.
And so Nerah walked the Middle Road in search of Paradise.

And so the three ultimately found it. One day they laid their heads to rest and one day when morning called they found everything they knew gone and replaced… They found themselves in a place of perfection and peace, adored with everything that fueled their desires they found… a place untouched, lacking corruption of the world they treaded through they smiled and celebrated. For they found the place of myth, you see, they found Paradise.

They stayed there many days but soon argument awoke. Which way… had been the way to find Paradise, the wondered. Who was right and who was wrong? Surely they could not all be correct in their assumptions. The arguments escalated until the faithful day that blows where stuck. That words no longer where just words as they fought and the wolf’s blood soaked into the ground of Paradise… and the three where cast out, exiled… and yet…

They where commended for being the firsts. Commended as the First to arrive to Paradise, but Paradise was cruel in some respect. Those who could not lay their head in Paradise and remain peaceful would no longer be, that was the way of things and none of the three wolves, mortal in every right, could not challenge this. And yet… though they cease to be they did not cease to exist with the mercy of Paradise ever present. Their bloodlines where laid, their blood was kept in the generations… Their names in the callings of the Three Packs… Their teaching in the way the Three Packs lived. Though they no longer live… They do not cease to exist.

And yet time has passed and though the Three Packs still live… and though they still practice the ways of their founders. They seem to have forgotten Paradise… truly does exist. It seems Paradise is nothing but a fairytale now and it seems that Paradise is just… Yet, stories have arisen. Stories that say that the first wolf of the three packs that lays a paw on Paradise will find that Paradise will morph to be the Paradise the founder envisioned…

Much mystery and lore has surrounded the Paradise the founders knew... to the point that one is uncertain of what is true and what is not. So one is left to wonder... what path to fallow. Which path will lead them to Eternity in a place that is said to be the place of Ultimate Perfection... Left also to wonder, if they will ever know the secrets of Paradise.

Vampire wolves? Wonderful. Hydra recoiled at the thought. Her bright green eyes skimmed the distant horizon and for a moment Hydra was inquisitive. Okay so she had been a pack where “magic” was an ordinary obsession. A vampiric wolf wasn’t too far-fetched of a concept for Hydra to grasp. The bordering lands looked melancholy almost and despite the sorrow that seemed to bleed over the lands Hydra was drawn to the idea of there being vampiric wolves. What an interesting combination. Of course, Hydra wouldn’t ever dream of joining such ranks. Her ears perked up just as Flaired’s last words had registered. ”Don’t you think we’d be able to sniff ‘em out before they got close?” Hydra wondered how it was possible that mere thoughts of the Draculan could result in such a mood change in Flaired.

”Then Flaired it is.” She said nonchalantly. She watched his performance with the cap and didn’t bother hiding the look of revelation that crept its way onto the sharp features of her face. ”Aren’t you worried that that hairdo of yours would be easily spotted by those Draculans?” It wasn’t a serious question. That was just Hydra being somewhat of a jerk, incognito. She didn’t expect him to answer that question, so she moved on almost immediately. ”Why doesn’t your pack get rid of them? I know they are vampires, but how many of them are there?” That seemed legit to Hydra. If you got pesky neighbors then get rid of them. But then again Hydra reconsidered her suggestion and realized before Flaired even said anything that her proposal was a bit unsound. She made a face and repented her words almost instantly.

Now Hydra watched Flaired as he circled around her. His actions didn’t anger her, but she did find herself slightly goaded. Irritation was quickly replaced with indifference when the showy male flaunted his wings like a bird. Hydra had seen many different kinds of wings in her youth. She always found that wolves with wings were a bit more…what was the word? Ungraceful. So would she too, sprout a pair of wings if she decided to live here? Probably. Hydra was mildly disappointed and she involuntarily looked over at her back where prospective wings would cover the dark gray ‘saddle mark.’ Hydra looked back over at Flair. ”Are those things functional? Well if they were at least the Xanersis wolves would have a means of escape from those Draculans, right?

Hydra was taken slightly aback at his question. Where was she from? Did it really matter? The tall, lissome female shrugged haphazardly. ”Where am I from? Nowhere worth mentioning, actually.” She spoke rather dismissively. She pushed herself back up onto her limbs and stretched. Once again, Hydra found herself thinking about the vampiric wolves and the lands opposite this one. She turned and looked over once more, this time staying her gaze so that she could get a better look. Her eyes looked fiery and alive and it was easy to tell that Hydra’s mind was brewing with questions. She knew better than to probe about what seemed to be the adversaries of a pack she was most likely going to join. But still. It was all very, very interesting…

Kakera grinned when Lucifis shot past her. Finally, she was starting to get bored up in the lead...

Paws seemed to not even touch the ground, they moved so quickly as the she-wolf picked up the pace, easily catching up to the council head and matching him, stride for stride, long enough to shoot a challenging smirk at the larger male before 'kicking in the afterburners'. Her run was half-run, half-bound now as she raced the other three wolves, tongue flopping out and jaws open in a wolf grin.

For Kakera, this was almost as good as hot, fresh blood... for this was as close as any Draculan wolf could get to flying.

The corrosion of this fabricated reality is but as simple as dipping ones hand within the waters of time. Such an event is impossible to accomplish by mortal hands thus the reputed entities that preceded us offer their assistance. But to erode life it to will everything created, everything that was strived for to disappear and that morbidity holds ones heart when they stare into the eyes of their beloveds and find themselves unable to discern the truth that remains hidden by lashes and veiled by sweet nothings. But what did she care? She had no such sentiments to give to another. Well, that wasn't entirely true. If she ripped out your trachea it was her way of being affectionate. Nothing says I love you more then death and a kiss good night. Right?

But these eyes staring hatefully into the darkness did not possess the ability to dream and cast this aptitude upon those like a sorcerer weaves a spell upon others, no, by they were enthralling a beguiling pair roused by the malice and carnage that is the worlds inevitable reaction towards them. Thus the creature that harbors such ill will. Misery padded passively along the cobblestone path the cadenced fluidity of her strides echoed as her talons scrapped the withered stones that had long since lost their signifigance. The haughty manner she carried herself in could easily be a direct challenge. Or was it? One could never discern what she thought nor did many care to venture there.

Tail elevated dauntlessly as her cranial structure lifted and the grin developing upon her fascia was no longer hindered by trepidation or ambiguity. No she hadn't felt scared in quite a while now that she thought about it. Sure she'd probably encounter Lucifis and he may even have the nerve and audacity to rebuke her for such gestures of dominance when it was clearly not her place. The scenerio played out in her mind, a delicious arguement followed by the symphony of hostility and then the forbidden drink of blood to wash her pallete.

But of course she knew such an event wouldn't transpire in that way. No, no, no, he had many on his side whereas she had none. The indication that for numbers sake she was inadequate brought a vehement expression to grace her face. She'd have to fix that soon...

The looming silhouette of the castle designated for her alledged 'pack' was as gloomy as the clusters of hoary clouds that floated overhead. Their dreay tint making the atmosphere a bearable temperature for them to endure. Ears flapped to dispell the mosquito that were adamantly nipping at the furred lobes. Growing more irritated with them she stopped her aimless pacing to shake herself, the vigorous quake only rid her of the insects for a moment before they had once more descended in their cloud of buzzing bodies to swarm around her.

Flaired's look was confused. What was a Draculan? Did she not know? What planet was she from. Although he supposed she might not be from around here, and that would explain things. But still. What else were the vampire wolves called, if not Draculan? Vampires? How boring. But Flair didn't like to dwell on that species very much; he loathed them. So he only tipped his head and continued to regard her in a curious way, a way he rarely looked at females. "Draculan are the vampire wolves that live in that direction." He tipped his chin to away from them, looking somber. "I was worried you were one of them, but I guess not. You better watch out though, you're on the border. They sometimes come around here." This was one reason why he was so good at running. You had to be, unless you decided to take them on, which wasn't a good idea if you were alone. They usually came to the border in groups.

The arrogant philanderer blanched at her caustic remark. And then he returned her words with a pout. He hadn't meant it as an endearment, it was just habit. But she could have it her way; he didn't care. He'd just have to remember not to say things like that. But it wasn't like she'd be around long, he didn't think. Not unless Naomi came along to accept her into the pack. His mouth tipped up slightly; he'd realized that the names he tagged at the end usually did end up in his learning their real names. And it had happened against. The grin broadened. "Hydra, then. I'm Flaired, call me whatever." Unlike her, Flaired didn't care what he was called. The most interesting thing anyone had come up with was 'Egotistical Lump of Meat." He'd been find with it, had liked it even. It was creative.

He flipped the mohawk, the front being more like locks of regular hair, for the cap had flattened them. "It might get in the way, but only over one eye. Anyway, I wear this cap," He caught the brim in his mouth. "to 'eep it oudda da way." Flaired flipped it back into place, looking stoic just to keep a sheepish smile from taking over feminine facade. He caught her looking behind her, and this time, the seriousness was real. "I guess it's pretty sad here. Sometimes you get misfits. Half-breeds who don't know where they belong. And there's always the horror of the Draculan lands hanging over this place. It’s tainted, in my opinion, even though its still Xanersis lands."

He pushed away from the tree, looking as if his thoughts had gone elsewhere. Much a like a vulture, he made a wide circle around Hydra. He'd even spread his wings a little, just to enhance the bird-like actions, as if he knew exactly what he was acting like. And then a wicked grin formed. "You're obviously not from around here. Where're you from?"
